The first round of ERC 2009 and the premiere race for the all new Div 1 Ford Fiesta from MSE/ Ford TeamRS is no done. The last week end Lydden Hill in UK was the host of the first round of ERC 2009. And the first race for the brand new Div 1 Ford Fiesta from MSE/ Ford TeamRS.
Andreas and the team knew that it may be a little of hazardous to go UK with only one day of testing before the race. But the shake-down at the Strängnäs track few days before they left everything was fine. Unfortunately things were not trouble free with some gearbox issues and puncture which not made the race successful. Although Andreas got the chance to show the capacity of the car when he won the C-finale with a clear run and driving on the safe side last laps, just to secure the win. That and the amazing reception the car got from everywhere made the trip home easier for Andreas and the team.
Now the team will have almost two weeks to analyze all data and do required changes and most importantly much more testing before they will load up and go to Portugal for the next round in ERC. And you can count on that Andreas will be up there to fight for the top position on the podium. |
